STAR-R32-24(CRP)
Automatic 3 stations carousel machine model STAR-R32-24”, with 2 filling tools and 2 drills, for the production of brooms and brushes up to 610mm length (24”) filled with radial, parallel or a combination of radial/parallel tufts. Machine speed up to 420 RPM (840 tufts/min).
The STAR-R32-24” is a carousel machine with 3 stations (blocks loading and off-loading, drilling and filling) which operate simultaneously and are able to handle two pieces at a time. The carriages are moved by 4 axes (a 5 axis version is also available) electronically driven by servomotors and controlled by Personal Computer. The blocks are manually loaded onto the machine. The drilling station is equipped with 2 high speed drilling units. The filling station has two filling tools driven by twin-cam system; filling tool stroke 85mm to work with fibre up to 300mm length (unfolded); filling tool sizes available from 25 to 80. This machine can work all kinds of synthetic fibres as well as natural fibres like Coco and Palmyra. The machine is available in a full automatic version (STAR-R32-24-CRP) that includes all above features plus the automatic feeding of the blocks from a conveyor belt (an automatic labelling unit is also available upon request) and the automatic transfer of the filled brushes from the unloading station to a finishing machine. The finishing machine is equipped with the following stations: a trimming station (4 rotary trimming heads that move bi-directionally), a cleaning (4 counter-rotating twisted-knot wire brushes to comb natural fibres) or flagging station (4 four counter-rotating flagging heads that move bi-directionally to flag synthetic fibre) and a beating station (2 beating units). The off-loading of the finished brushes is automatic.
